QuerySmith is a graphical SQL query builder
Drag and drop tables and views onto your canvas, and join them together graphically to define the relationships between them. Then add filters to trim your results down. Add notes to help you remember why you made your design decisions.
QuerySmith is an add-in for Microsoft® Excel® 2007 and 2010. A new Ribbon tab is available to help you connect to your database and create new queries. Query results are delivered directly to Excel worksheets for easy analysis.
The Relationships browser and Sample Data viewer help you find the tables that you want to include in your query. Just drag and drop them onto the canvas to get started.
Describing the relationships that exist between the tables, views and subqueries couldn't be easier. Double-click to choose between Inner, Left Outer, and Right Outer joins with the ease of a double-click.
Filter data using a wide variety of criteria including equal to, greater than, less than, between, in, starts with, ends with, contains and more.
Understanding how filtering logic is combined together can be one of the most challenging aspects of query construction. Group conditions together visually using AND, OR and NOT groups, combining filters together in powerful ways that are easy to understand.
With the click of a button you can total up numbers to higher levels with operations like SUM, COUNT, MIN, MAX and AVERAGE.
You can break large queries down into smaller, more manageable pieces with subqueries, available in any of the SELECT, FROM, WHERE AND HAVING clauses of a query.
Not sure exactly how to find the data you're looking for? Most databases allow for wildcard search using special characters. QuerySmith takes care of the SQL for you, allowing you to simply choose Starts With, Ends With, or Contains to help you find the data you need.
With large, powerful queries you may need to step back a little and see the big picture. Zoom your query in and out to get a different perspective of it.
If you want some help learning how the SQL text for a query is constructed, or if you want to examine the SQL you can switch to the SQL Editor and have a look.
Are you creating and distributing ad-hoc reports to co-workers, but can't find the time to create a fully formatted report? Use a Pivot Report to quickly summarize and present information before delivery.

Great product. I can’t remember how I finally came across QuerySmith, but I have tried everything else with trial versions that I could find on the Internet and nothing else comes close in functionality.
